Generation Simulation U
Generation Simulation U (GenSimU™) is a youth-centered, turnkey simulation that prepares ages 16 - 24 facing real-world barriers for leadership opportunities, successful independent living, and employment.
During the simulation, participants will "live as roommates" to practice the behaviors and decisions that impact job readiness, job retention, and long-term stability. Each simulated household must work together to get hired, stay hired, and remain in good standing with their employers.
During the simulation, participants navigate high-stakes scenarios regarding:

About Us & Our Mission
GenSimU was founded by Sheila Ruffin, an attorney with a long history of advocating for vulnerable communities and volunteering with youth-serving organizations. As a former federal government attorney, she was responsible for contract oversight of over $2 million, so deeply understands the complexities of government funding and grant allocation compliance.
Drawing upon years of legal advocacy and her extensive work with the youth, Sheila designed GenSimU to replace passive learning with high-fidelity, scenario-based simulations—complete with reporting material that make compliance easier.
Society spends millions on workforce programs that rely on worksheets and lectures, yet youth quit or get fired from their first jobs at the first sign of a crisis. GenSimU breaks this cycle through our experiential framework to deescalate crisis shock by building true behavioral muscle memory in a safe-to-fail environment.
